Vincent van Gogh as he appears in the Doctor Who episode 'Vincent and the Doctor'. When I first watched this episode I was tired from a long day at a cousin's wedding and watching this at 2am in the morning and my tiredness made me totally miss the point of the episode. The second time I watched it next afternoon (when the HD version had downloaded) it totally worked for me and I really started to appreciate the greatness of this episode as an emotional character piece and I now rate it as one of the superb episodes. This sprite is my first historical character sprite from Doctor Who (as in the character is based on someone who actually lived in the real world) and it's mainly down to Tony Curran's excellent potrayal leaving a real impression (or post-impression.. art 'joke') on me. I hope I did him justice. The palette he's holding was a pain and I'm still not happy with it but it's tricky doing an object which is a weird shape aaand has a random mess of paint colors on it so I think I'll leave it as it is. I think it's still obvious what it is.
All the sprites together are shown on the blue background color at [link]
or at my site's own gallery page for it along with sprites by my friend Schu at [link]
