The Wolverine - Funeral Outfit by Carnivius The Wolverine - Funeral Outfit by Carnivius
Inspired by FigureRealm member projectpeekay's version at www.figurerealm.com/viewcustom…

Been trying to keep myself busy the last few days and one of the things I did was this action figure custom. Bought a Bruce Willis Sin City figure cheap off eBay, painted the tie and trousers black, superglued the collar down and painted the neck fleshy, swapped the head and hands with spare alternate head and hands from my Wolverine figure (shown on right) and now I have a Wolverine figure (shown on left) in his funeral gear from the movie 'The Wolverine'. Below are pics of the original Bruce Willis figure and two shots from the Wolverine movie showing the black funeral outfit. The heads and hands can still be removed and swapped between the figures. No idea what to do with the Bruce Willis head, that can just go in my box of parts for now.

Nevermind, looked it up, Marvel Select. Looks a great figure. Bad-ass seamless custom.

Yeah, Forbidden Planet did have it for a short while around the time of the movie a couple years back.  I stupidly passed on it then (I wanted it but my bank balance was looking a bit low at the time so priorities) but managed to get one off ebay last year.  And thanks =)

What series of figures is that!? I've never seen that one out over here in the likes of forbidden planet or comic stores.

That looks great dude! Even Death's Head in the back approves, yes? hehe

hehe, thanks.  Yeah I'm pleased with this.  Looks pretty screen accurate and makes uses of spare head and hands that were just sitting in my accessories case. =)

And Death's Head rules!

Wow nice work! I actually prefer the black trousers of yours with the one on the link.

Thanks!  Yeah I'm not sure why he hasn't painted the trousers on his one.   Hm, That Wolverine on the right came with 3 heads and 3 sets of hands (normal hands, adamantium claw hands and bone claw hands) so I could make another figure if I can find a suitable donor body.  Ideally I'd like one to be the leather jacket, jeans look of the 70's scenes in Days of Future Past but I'm not sure a suitable figure exists or at least not without needing to a lot more advanced modifications than what I am currently capable of. =)

I love it when figures come with more stuff.. but then also hate it because I can never display all of those features at the same time without having multiple figures. XD
There's going to be another movie with him, pray they'll make a figure with those sort of looks?

Heh, yeah I have an arts case just for storing accessories and such.

How did you ever put up with Transformers and not buy multiples like some collectors do where they want to display each toy in every mode? =p

I actually am tempted to buy multiples of some figures, but only for my most favourite characters like Thundercracker or Vector Prime.

I've had a loooot of movie Bumblebee figures (trimmed down to 3 deluxes and a legends currently) and for a while I had a ton of Hot Rod figures of different sorts (I have none now) but generally i trrrryy to stick to one figure per character (though I have G1 Powermaster Prime, 2006 Classics Prime and 2014 AoE Evasion Prime but they're different universes right and the first two were christmas presents from those times so I have sentimental attachment despite the fact movie Prime is by far my fave)
